Synopsis

Il Cretto Grande is an original body of work produced by Massimo Siragusa, a Sicilian photographer and professor at the European Institute of Design who has been working for many years on architecture, urbanism and landscape. Here he offers an unprecedented look at the “Cretto di Gibellina”, a landscape artwork created by Alberto Burri between 1984 and 1989, on the ruins of the Sicilian town destroyed by the 1968 Belice earthquake.
