Saudade Moon by Paolo Marchetti is an immersive journey through Brazil. His images penetrate the heart and soul of this country, its true essence is vivid and tangible. The photographer captures the landscapes and people of Brazil, setting them in a romantic atmosphere, almost as if it were pervaded by a feeling similar to "saudade", a Portuguese word that indicates a mood difficult to define, a form of nostalgia, melancholy, the yearning for something elusive.
Through the photographer's eyes we see Brazil and its people in an unprecedented and penetrating way. The photos in this book as a whole, but also taken individually, create a visual poem capable of involving the observer.

In the last years he has received several awards such as: IPA, Grand Prix de Paris -PX3, Best of Photojournalism, PDN’s Award, Getty Images Editorial Photography (2012). He was finalist at Leica Oskar
Barnack Award (2013), winner of POY-Picture of the Year (2013-2014), ANI Pix-Palace Award at Visa pour L’Image,
Leica Photographer Award.
