Adolescence is a time of self-centeredness and self-discovery, but also of confrontation between oneself and one's peers. Desire for individualism and group dynamics shape adolescent thinking and self-perception.
The author, starting from her experience as a twin, investigates the relationship that is created between twins in this moment of self-examination and proof of one's effect on the outside world, wondering how similarities influence the perception of one's own being and the construction of an individual identity starting from the particular condition that binds the twins.
