The work entitled Parallel Lines by Luigi Filetici takes its cue from the memorandum of understanding signed by Roma Capitale, FS Sistemi Urbani and the Italian Railway Network of Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane Group, which aims to develop the metro-railway system and regenerate the abandoned railway areas of the capital.
Documentation of the city and the landscape, in a visual research that analyzes the territory in transformation thorugh a series of photographs narrating the contemporary and past architecture. Research is a valuable tool in the planning and design phase of these places that will no longer be visible after the transformation.
Luigi Filetici
Architect, he has been lecturer at the University of Rome La Sapienza, at the Milan Polytechnic and at the European Institute of Design. In 2020 he won the Bruno Zevi award from the National Institute of Architecture. Among the main projects MOCKBAXXI exhibited at the Milan Triennale and at the Schuchev Museum in Moscow, I Mercati di Traiano a Roma commissioned by the Municipality of Rome and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He uses the photographic medium to interpret and amplify the meaning of architecture. His artistic research on the communication of architecture, on urban transformations and the landscape, have led him to realize lectures, publications and exhibitions all over the world.
