Synopsis

Chiamala Roma is a personal and poetic reinterpretation of Rome, highlighting the uniqueness of a contradictory and complex city. In the capital, Sandro Becchetti recorded the developments of a society in full transformation, not only in the streets and squares — the growth of the suburbs, the social and political struggles between the seventies and eighties —, but also in the palaces of power: illustrious names in culture and entertainment, personalities from political and economic life were, together with ordinary people, the protagonists of his portraits. Among these, the intense series on Pier Paolo Pasolini shot in his house in Rome stands out.

The book includes texts by Sandro Becchetti, Silvana Bonfili, Ascanio Celestini, Francesco De Gregori, Valentina Gregori.
