(Florence, 1950) He attended Pratt Institute until 1975, studying photography. On his return to Italy he taught photography at the Studio Arts Center International to students studying at American Universities. Visiting the USA and especially New York every year he has maintained his close ties with America and in 1988 was 'visiting professor' at the Cooper Union. Studio Marangoni Foundation (FSM) was founded in 1991 with intention of promoting the Art of Photography. It's non-profit organisation which provides high quality and varied education programs for national and international students. As its president Martino Marangoni plays a fundamental role as teacher and mentor. He also organises exhibitions, workshops and events for the School and its gallery and often assists in the organisation of other external events in Florence.
